Press Release: StoryShare Appoints a New Chair: Arlene Adams

By team

StoryShare, a leading SaaS employee communication and engagement platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Arlene Adams as Chairman of the Board with immediate effect. This appointment follows Series A growth investment from Gresham House Ventures on the 25th February 2019.

Arlene brings a vast experience of fast growing, venture capital and private equity backed software businesses. She was the Founder and CEO of Peppermint Technology, a leading SaaS platform for law firms, which she started in 2010 and where she is currently a Non-Executive Director on the Board. Her previous roles include Managing Director of IRIS Legal (now Advanced Computer Software Group), Managing Director of OLM Systems, CEO of Valista and UK Sales Director at global tech giant Sun Microsystems (now Oracle).

Commenting on her appointment as Chairman, Arlene Adams said:

StoryShare is changing the nature of employee engagement by bringing the technology people love using at home into the workplace. It’s enablement of video-based communication and learning, optimised for the mobile device, allows employers to engage and develop staff irrespective of location and technology.

The technology is proven to increase employee productivity, with one global organisation reporting a 15% increase in sales from deploying StoryShare. The investment from Gresham House, and the quality of the team, provide a strong basis for growth and the opportunity for StoryShare is exceptional. I am delighted to be working with the team as they embark on this next phase.”

Rob Dumbleton, CEO of StoryShare, commented:

“I am delighted we have secured Arlene as Chairman. She is a proven entrepreneur and her experience of navigating a business through this stage of growth will bring immense value and help us drive the business forward.

We started working with Arlene three months ago and she has already helped us in a material transition of the business from a project-based model to a pure SaaS delivery model. Arlene’s track record in building a SaaS software business has come at the perfect time for us. I also welcome the mentoring she can offer myself and the team.”
